CITY OF BALANGA – The provinces of Bataan and Aurora were officially declared as the first two 'drug-cleared' provinces in Region III and the entire island of Luzon through a momentous activity at the Bataan People's Center on February 1, 2020.

Bataan Governor Abet Garcia and Aurora Acting Governor Christian Noveras received their respective Certificates and Plaques of Recognition for drug-clearing all their component barangays per DDB regulation regarding the strengthening the Barangay Drug Clearing Program (BDCP).

DILG Undersecretary for Barangay Affairs Martin Diño was the Speaker and Guest of Honor of the said activity which was attended by key officials from different government agencies from PDEA, PNP, DILG, partner agencies, reformists and barangays officials from Bataan and Aurora.

DILG R3 Assistant Regional Director Jay Timbreza, LGOO II Khalid Sunggod and LGOO II Danilyn Peña of DILG Bataan also graced the said declaration.
