The Provincial Government of Bataan underwent a thorough evaluation at the 2019 Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) On-Site Regional Assessment conducted on April 23, 2019, at the Bulwagan ng Bayan, Capitol Compound, City of Balanga, Bataan.

Department heads along with focal persons of PG Bataan's programs and projects attended the assessment session which was held through interviews and document review. On-site inspection of structures in various areas in the Province was also initially conducted.

The SGLG Regional Assessment Team was led by LGOO VI Aldwin Reyes, Assistant Division Chief of the Monitoring and Evaluation Division (MED) of DILG Region III, together with LGOOs II Fatima Lalu and Donnabel Estipular. Mr. Noel Sibal of PPCRP served as the regional CSO representative.

The SGLG, which is one of the flagship programs of DILG, assesses the excellence of LGUs in the delivery of public service through the compliance to pertinent national laws and guidelines.

PG Bataan is a recipient of the SGLG on years 2016, 2017 and 2018. DILG will announce the 2019 results of the validation this October.
