ORANI, BATAAN (July 3, 2025) – The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), through the Office of the Project Development Services (OPDS), conducted a Governance Tour in Barangay Balut, Orani, Bataan to showcase a completed farm-to-market road funded under the Local Government Support Fund – Support to Barangay Development Program (LGSF-SBDP).

The activity formed part of the second quarter Program Implementation Dialogue (PID) hosted by DILG Region III and was attended by 71 delegates from central and regional offices, including Project Monitoring and Evaluation Division Chief Cheryl C. Agustin-Flores, representatives from the Office of the Undersecretary for Local Government (OUSLG), Assistant Secretaries, and regional focal persons from the LGCDD and PDMU.

The featured project, implemented by the Municipal Government of Orani, involved the upgrading of a 216.60-meter road that now provides safer and more reliable access for residents and fisherfolk in Barangay Balut. The delegation conducted an on-site inspection to assess project quality and highlight the infrastructure’s positive community impact.

In a short program held in Barangay Tala, Assistant Regional Director Jay E. Timbreza, CESO IV, and Provincial Director Belina T. Herman, CESO V, welcomed the delegates and thanked the Municipality of Orani for hosting the activity. Mayor Antonio F. Arizapa Jr. expressed appreciation to the DILG and affirmed continued partnership in future LGSF initiatives.

The Program Implementation Dialogue serves as a regular platform to assess project implementation, promote knowledge sharing, and strengthen accountability in the delivery of Locally-Funded Projects nationwide.
