The Municipality of Abucay has completed the installation of a new CCTV system at the LGU-managed resort in Barangay Gabon. The project was funded under the FY 2024 Seal of Good Local Governance Incentive Fund (SGLGIF) and is meant to strengthen safety measures for both guests and personnel.

Titled “Installation of CCTV System at the LGU-managed Resort in Barangay Gabon,” the Php 1.153 million project includes eight cameras and supporting equipment. Implementation started on March 27, 2025, and was completed on June 18. The inauguration and turnover ceremony was held on June 27.

Mayor Ruben Tagle expressed appreciation to LGU functionaries and department heads during the event, citing their cooperation in carrying out the project and maintaining the municipality’s standing as a two-time SGLG awardee.

Representing DILG Bataan Provincial Director Belina T. Herman, CESO V, was OIC-Program Manager LGOO V Mark Angelo Pumares. In his message, LGOO V Pumares emphasized the importance of the project’s purpose.
“This CCTV system is more than just equipment — it’s about peace of mind,” he expressed. “When people feel secure, they stay, they support, and they help a place grow.”

The ceremony was attended by LGU staff and officials involved in the project, as well as DILG Bataan personnel, engineers, and MLGOO Joanna Marie Cruz. With this new system in place, the LGU takes another step toward providing safer and more reliable public facilities.
