PILAR, BATAAN — In celebration of the Philippine Environment Month, DILG Bataan, in partnership with Barangay Panilao, rolled up their sleeves for a clean-up drive on June 21, 2025, focusing on both the riverbanks and surrounding streets.

Led by LGOO VI Annie Hipolito and Punong Barangay George Gonzales, the activity brought together DILG personnel, barangay officials, tanods, health workers, and community volunteers. Participants swept the streets, gathered trash, and collected scattered litter along the riverbanks proving that small acts, when done together, create big change.

With brooms in hand and filled garbage bags, the team ended the morning with a strong message: protecting the environment starts in our own communities. This clean-up not only supported the Manila Bay Rehabilitation Program but also strengthened the spirit of bayanihan in the village.
