The Provincial Awards Committee (PAC) of Bataan convened today, March 20, 2025, at the DILG Bataan Provincial Office to assess barangays nominated for the 2025 Lupon Tagapamayapa Incentive Awards (LTIA).
Chaired by DILG Bataan Provincial Director Belina T. Herman, CESO V, with support from LGOO VI Joanna Marie Cruz, the Provincial Focal Person for LTIA, the committee included representatives from the Regional Trial Court, the Philippine National Police (PNP) Bataan, the Liga ng mga Barangay Provincial Chapter, and the United Architects of the Philippines – Bataan Peninsulares Chapter as the NGO representative.
The evaluation focused on how efficiently barangays resolve disputes, their use of innovative mediation strategies, and their contributions to maintaining peace in their communities. Barangays competed in different categories based on their city or municipality classification.
Top-performing barangays will advance to the regional level, representing Bataan in the next phase of the LTIA. This annual recognition highlights the crucial role of the Lupon Tagapamayapa in promoting peaceful and orderly communities through effective conflict resolution.
