On January 30, 2025, DILG Bataan personnel, led by Provincial Director Belina T. Herman, CESO V, visited Governor Hon. Jose Enrique "Joet" S. Garcia III at The Bunker, Capitol Compound, Balanga City, Bataan.
The courtesy call focused on key initiatives, particularly the upcoming rollout and implementation of the Barangay Information Management System (BIMS) across Bataan. ISA I Issah Nevan T. Catacutan provided detailed updates on the project, with Governor Garcia expressing full support for the initiative, recognizing its potential to enhance governance and strengthen data management in barangays as Bataan is the first province to implement the said system to all LGUs.
Certificates of recognition were awarded to city and municipalities excelling in the 2024 High Performing Anti-Drug Abuse Council (ADAC) Performance Audit for their outstanding efforts in promoting safer and drug-free communities. Said award were presented by Governor Garcia, PD Herman, CTL Cristy M. Blanco, OIC-Program Manager Joanna Marie M. Cruz, and PPOC-PADAC Provincial Focal Person LGOO V Ayla Theresa V. Bugay-Quimlat.
This event served as an excellent opportunity to foster collaboration and strengthen ties among local officials, emphasizing the shared goal of advancing good governance and ensuring the well-being of the people of Bataan. Governor Garcia’s continuous support is a vital part of driving these initiatives forward and ensuring the province’s sustained progress.
