Another set of on-the-job trainees (OJTs) shared a meaningful conversation with Provincial Director Belina Herman and Cluster Team Leader Mildred Sazon as they began their internship at the DILG Bataan Provincial Office today.

Three of the student-interns come from Bataan Peninsula State University taking up Bachelor of Science in Business Administration – Major in Operations Management while the remaining half are Information Technology students from the Eastwoods Professional College of Science and Technology. The OJTs were optimistic that through the internship program, they will be able to gain valuable knowledge and hands-on experience on government operations.
Meanwhile, the DILG Bataan Team committed to provide the students with the opportunity to gain practical knowledge in local governance as part of its Local Government Resource Center (LGRC) practices. The personnel also expressed their eagerness to hone the interns' skills on software, activity hosting, and technical writing among others which may come in handy for their future careers.
The said internship program is just one of the many facets of the DILG Bataan LGRC's commitment of providing information, training, and assistance to learning resource institutions (LRIs), local government units and stakeholders. By partnering with the LRIs, the provincial office demonstrates its dedication to promoting academic and professional development in the field of local governance.
