The program focuses on providing interventions and resources to the LGUs in improving their capacities to drive the local economic process and ensure better conditions for economic growth, employment generation and equal opportunities for all. Said program is the Department's initiative in helping bolster sustainable Local Economic Development (LED).

In her message, Provincial Director Myra Soriano acknowledged the strong fellowship with BPSU as a constant partner in providing capacity development initiatives to the LGUs of Bataan.

"LED4LGUs is a timely and relevant program of the DILG, especially with the implementation of the Mandanas-Garcia Ruling this year. The roles of the local economic development team are vital in the realization of the collective goals of ensuring that LGUs are on the right track of becoming self-sufficient", she added.

In the implementation of the program, the local economic development teams of Abucay, Bagac, Morong, Pilar and Samal shall meet online every Friday to undergo the three (3) modules developed by the Local Government Academy and BPSU.
