DILG Bataan, led by PD Myra Moral-Soriano, conducted separate performance audits for the city and municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council (ADAC) and Peace and Order Council (POC) on May 11, 2022 at DILG Bataan Provincial Office, City of Balanga.

On ADAC Audit
Comprised of Bataan PPO, PDEA Bataan and Bataan Host Lion's Club as the CSO representative, the ADAC Provincial Audit Team evaluated the documents and means of verification (MOVs) uploaded in the ADAC-Functionality Monitoring System (ADAC-FMS) for assessment year 2021.

The said audit aims to assess the performance of the C/MADACs on their functionality and effectiveness based on existing issuances and policies; and recognize effective and performing councils, among others.

From the result of the provincial table validation, Focal Person LGOO III Danilyn Pena noted that the 12 C/MLGUs of the province are all poised to attain a rate of High Functionality.

On POC Audit
Representatives from the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, Bataan PPDO, Bataan PPO and Bataan Host Lion's Club convened during the afternoon session to evaluate the local POCs for CY 2019 and 2021.

LGOO V Laverne Gonzales Jr. presented the guidelines and facilitated the review of uploaded documents vis-a-vis the indicator references. He reiterated that a POC has to garner a minimum overall score of 65% and secure a grade not lower than 50% of the required score for each pillar to be considered "functional."

Conventionally, DILG Bataan recognizes the high-performing POCs—and ADACs likewise—of the province as part of the activities to boost the fight against insurgency, criminality, violent extremism and illegal drugs.

Further, both performance audits fall under the governance areas LGUs have to pass to be conferred with the much-coveted Seal of Good Local Governance.
