The Provincial Government of Aurora in partnership with the DILG Aurora through the Provincial Inter-Agency Monitoring Task Force (PIMTF) for LCPC and the Provincial Inter-Agency Monitoring Team (PIMT) for LCAT-VAWC officially commenced the joint table assessments of the Local Council for the Protection of Children (LCPC) and Local Committee on Anti-Trafficking and Violence Against Women and Their Children (LCAT-VAWC) for the 8 Aurora LGUs, beginning with the Municipality of Dingalan on April 16, 2026, at the DILG Aurora Provincial Office.

The activity highlights strengthened inter-agency collaboration and a unified commitment to advancing child protection and gender-responsive governance. It also served as a venue for productive dialogue between assessors and local government partners, fostering continuous improvement and enhancing capacity development efforts.

The assessment process allowed the Municipality of Dingalan to identify key areas for improvement while gaining relevant inputs to refine its programs, strengthen institutional systems, and enhance the delivery of services for children and other vulnerable sectors.

The Aurora PIMTF and PIMT—composed of representatives from the Provincial Government of Aurora, including the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office, Provincial Planning and Development Office, Provincial Health Office, Provincial Budget Office, the Department of Education, and the DILG Aurora Social Protection Unit—continue to provide support to LGUs in fostering safer, more inclusive, and responsive communities, while reinforcing the effective implementation of policies for the protection of women and children.
