Baler, Aurora — The Provincial Government of Aurora celebrated a milestone with the inauguration of the Provincial Health Office Storage Facility and Vaccine Room in Brgy. Reserva, Baler, Aurora, held on April 22, 2026. The project was completed through the FY 2024 Seal of Good Local Governance Incentive Fund (SGLGIF) with a total allocation of ₱3,000,000.00, marking a major success in the Province’s efforts to enhance healthcare facilities. Headlining the event were the DILG Region III Assistant Regional Director, DILG Aurora Provincial Director, and the Aurora Provincial Governor, along with other DILG and provincial government personnel.
During the ceremony, the facility was formally turned over and accepted by the Provincial Government of Aurora, represented by the Provincial Governor. The facility is expected to enhance the province’s capacity to manage immunization programs, improve response to public health needs, and ensure better delivery of essential health services to communities across Aurora.
On behalf of the Regional Director, the Assistant Regional Director emphasized that health is not merely wealth, it is the foundation upon which our daily lives are built, stating, "Ang pagkakaraoon ng ligtas, maayos, at mapagkakatiwalaang pasilidad ay higit pa sa pagtatayo ng isang imprastrakturang may pakinabang. Ito ay kwento ng pagaaruga, dahil sa huli, hindi lang ito tungkol sa sistema, ito ay tungkol sa buhay, sa pagasa, at sa malasakit para sa bawat pamilyang pinaglilingkuran natin sa lalawigan ng Aurora”
In addition, a check amounting to ₱5,000,000.00 was formally awarded by the DILG to the Provincial Government to support the construction of a Halfway House under the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (ECLIP) which will serve as a temporary shelter of surrendering former rebels (FRs)/former violent extremists (FEVs) while their reintegration is being facilitated.
These initiatives highlight the continued commitment of both national and local government units to strengthen healthcare systems, safeguard the well-being of the public, and achieve a sustainable and lasting peace.
