On March 2, 2026, Governor Isidro P. Galban led the successful conduct of the 1st Quarter Joint Meeting of the Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC), Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Council (PADAC), and Provincial Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (PTF-ELCAC), held at the WIDE Center Conference Room, ATC Compound, Baler, Aurora. The meeting brought together council members, including department heads, component LGUs, National Government Agencies, and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs).

Discussions focused on the implementation status of the 2026–2028 Peace and Order and Public Safety (POPS) Plans, highlighting priorities such as strengthening Peace and Order Councils, enhancing the Lupong Tagapamayapa, and monitoring key programs, including the Support to Barangay Development Program (SBDP) and the Retooled Community Support Program (RCSP) for FY 2026.

Updates on peace, order, and public safety were presented by agency representatives, covering insurgency concerns, law enforcement initiatives, fire safety, anti-drug operations, and maritime security. A key highlight of the meeting was the discussion on Foreign Interference and Malign Influence (FIMI), which emphasized the importance of protecting local governance from external threats.

The meeting also resulted in the approval of several resolutions, including the integration of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) into the PPOC, strengthening disaster preparedness among LGUs and NGAs, promoting vigilance in foreign partnerships, supporting FIMI-related legislation, and adopting the Enhanced Transformation Program Plan 2026–2028 for Aurora.

Emerging concerns, such as illegal tobacco operations in Central Luzon and land use issues in Dingalan, were likewise addressed to ensure proactive and coordinated responses. In his closing message, Vice Governor Patrick Alexis Angara reaffirmed the province’s collective goal of strengthening peace, order, and transparent governance across the Province of Aurora.
