The Provincial Orientation for the CY 2025 Local Project Monitoring Committee (LPMC) Functionality Assessment was successfully conducted on February 25, 2026, via Zoom application. Led by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Aurora, the activity represents a significant step in the province’s ongoing efforts to strengthen local governance and ensure the efficient monitoring of development projects across Aurora province.

The Locally Funded Project (LFP) Team of DILG Aurora, with the LPMC members from several Local Government Units (LGUs), attended the orientation. During the session, speakers discussed the guidelines, indicators, and tools for proper documentation. The orientation also provided clarifications on common issues encountered during functionality assessments and highlighted best practices to improve LPMC performance.

The successful conduct of the orientation reflects DILG Aurora’s proactive approach to capacitating local monitoring bodies and fostering a culture of evidence-based assessment, guided by the idea that accurate measurement is the first step toward real progress.
