Baler, Aurora — In line with efforts to further strengthen peace and order governance at the local level, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Aurora Provincial Office, conducted an activity entitled “Strengthening POC Secretariats in Implementing and Monitoring the Peace and Order and Public Safety Plan through POPSP-PCMS” on January 6, 2026 via zoom platform.
The activity aimed to enhance the technical capacity of Peace and Order Council (POC) Secretariats in the effective utilization of the POPSP-PCMS, a key tool in monitoring compliance with peace and order and public safety planning requirements. Participants were provided with discussions on system features, compliance indicators, data encoding procedures, and validation protocols to ensure accurate and timely submission of reports.
In his message, Dir. Ener P. Cambronero, DILG Aurora Provincial Director/PPOC Head Secretariat, emphasized the crucial role of POC Secretariats in ensuring evidence-based planning and informed decision-making. “The effective use of POPSP-PCMS allows our local peace and order councils to better assess performance, identify gaps, and implement responsive interventions that promote public safety and community well-being,” he said.

The activity encompassed system walkthroughs, live demonstrations, and open forums, which were facilitated by LGOO II Rosanna C. Hernandez and LGOO VI Reyner L. Buenconsejo. Participants utilized these sessions to raise concerns and share best practices regarding the implementation of the POPSP-PCMS.

The activity was attended by members of the Provincial and Municipal Peace and Order Council Secretariats, LGU focal persons, and other concerned stakeholders involved in peace and order planning and reporting.
Through this initiative, the DILG Aurora continues to reaffirm its commitment to strengthening local governance mechanisms and institutional capacities, ensuring that peace and order and public safety plans are effectively implemented, monitored, and sustained across all levels of local government.
