
Baler, Aurora – the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) – Aurora Provincial Office held its second iteration of PAGTAN-AW: Pagbibigay-pugay sa Angking Galing at bukod-TANging Ambag sa Wastong Pamamahala awards ceremony on 22 December 2025 at Pacific Waves Inn, Sabang to acknowledge the exemplary Municipal Government Units, Barangays and key stakeholders for their outstanding contributions to Peace and Order and Public Safety.

In his keynote message, Vice Governor Patrick Angara said that the vital role of good governance, particularly in the sustained fight against corruption and in fostering a culture of public service is grounded in compassion, genuine concern, and accountability to the people.”
He added that the Provincial Government of Aurora is deeply honored to receive the Huwarang Kaagapay Award, noting that the recognition reflects the Provincial Government’s steadfast commitment and sustained efforts in upholding good governance.

Moreover, DILG Aurora Provincial Director, Ener P. Cambronero, CESO V, expresses gratitude to the Provincial Team and LGUs for their dedication and collaboration, which led to being recognized as the Best Provincial Office in the region. Citing Matthew 5:41, the message highlights service that goes beyond duty and honors. LGU exemplars who demonstrate integrity, compassion, and commitment despite challenges, celebrating them as inspirations to all public servants.

The program, a cornerstone of DILG Aurora’s local governance efforts, served as a platform to honor those who have excelled in promoting safety, security, and community well-being. It aims to sustain and inspire a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration in local governance, while reinforcing the government’s commitment to public service and institutional strengthening.

Awardees were selected based on their performance and commitment to peace and order, anti-illegal drugs initiatives, and best practices, among others which significantly impact their respective communities. The ceremony conferred multiple categories of awards received by the awardees as follows:
