Baler, Aurora - on 17 November 2025, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Aurora Provincial Office distributed first aid kits to its personnel during the November Provincial Team Conference. This initiative is part of the office's continuing efforts to enhance safety and emergency preparedness in the workplace.
The distribution of first aid kits ensures that all personnel are well-equipped to respond to potential incidents that may arise during fieldwork or office operations. It also aligns with the office's commitment to gender-responsive advocacy, promoting a safe and inclusive environment for everyone.

During the preparation of the kits, LGOO V Clarissa G Hess emphasized that ensuring staff safety would impact the operational efficiency and effectiveness of the office. The distribution follows the Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid Training conducted during the previous quarter. It reflects DILG Aurora’s commitment to responsible governance demonstrating a safe and prepared workforce during emergencies.

The DILG Aurora DRRM Team discussed the significance of the distribution to reinforce preparedness culture among employees, recognizing that the province is exposed to unexpected situations. Each kit contains essential medical supplies intended to support immediate response to minor injuries and stabilize conditions while awaiting professional medical assistance.
This activity forms part of the office’s broader safety and wellness program and gender development and inclusivity, which continues to integrate practical, preventive, and responsive measures for the benefit of all personnel.
