The Provincial Government of Aurora has reached another milestone in its continuing effort and commitment to promote peace and support community development as it received a ₱5 million check for the construction of a Halfway House for Former Rebels.
The award was given during the WE STRIVE: E-CLIP National Summit held on November 13–14, 2025 at Hotel Lucky Chinatown in Manila.
DILG Aurora Provincial Director Ener P. Cambronero, CESO V, together with Ms. Shalom I. Dadero, Social Welfare Officer II from the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), accepted the grant on behalf of the province.
The upcoming Halfway House will be a safe and welcoming place for former rebels who want to start a new life. It will offer temporary shelter, counseling, skills training, and other support to help them adjust and reintegrate into the community through the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP).
This project shows Aurora’s strong commitment to peace and inclusive growth. It highlights the province’s belief that everyone deserves a chance to rebuild their lives and contribute to a better future.
With the construction of the Halfway House, the Provincial Government of Aurora—together with DILG, PSWDO, and other partners—continues to share a clear message: peace is possible, and every Filipino deserves hope and a fresh start.
