Baler, Aurora - The Provincial Table Validation for the 2025 Local Legislative Award (LLA) was conducted today, September 19, 2025, at the DILG Aurora Provincial Office to finalize the results of the onsite assessment in the province of Aurora.
The activity was participated in by the members of the Provincial Awards Committee (PAC), composed of the DILG, Vice Mayors’ League of the Philippines (VMLP) Aurora Chapter, Philippine Councilors League (PCL) Aurora Chapter, Office of the Provincial Agriculturist, Provincial Budget Office, Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office, Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office, and Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Aurora.
After thorough deliberation and validation of initial assessment results, the Sangguniang Bayan of Maria Aurora emerged as the top-performing Sanggunian in the province for the 1st to 3rd municipalities category, and will be endorsed to the Regional Awards Committee (RAC) for the next level of evaluation. Securing second place is the Sangguniang Bayan of Dingalan, while the Sangguniang Bayan of Casiguran landed in third place. Meanwhile, the Sangguniang Bayan of Dinalungan will also be endorsed to the RAC as an entry of the province for the 4th to 6th class municipalities category.
The Local Legislative Award aims to recognize outstanding performance of Sanggunians in crafting responsive, innovative, and impactful legislation that advances good local governance and sustainable development. This recognition not only underscores their exemplary work but also inspires other legislative bodies in the province to uphold excellence in serving their constituents.
