San Luis, Aurora – Barangay San Isidro has been chosen for a regional showcase because of its consistent and effective clean-up activity. The community's dedication to keeping their neighborhood clean through weekly clean-ups, not just a one-time event, has earned them this honor. The most recent cleanup on Saturday, September 13, 2025, showcased their hard work and commitment.
The event brought together people from various sectors, including the San Luis Municipal Police Station (MPS), barangay workers, teachers and students from R. R. Tangson National High School, SK members, barangay tanods, solo parents, 4Ps members, OFWs, and employees of St. Francis Development Cooperative. They were also joined by DILG Cluster Team Leader Ariel G. Espinosa and San Luis MLGOO Jesus L. Vizconde Jr.
Punong Barangay Claire C. Villanueva and other key figures started the program with their opening messages. This aims to teach younger generations about their role in the community and how positive habits can be passed down and sustained for years to come.

A total of 80 participants joined the cleanup drive along the national road. The activity was a team effort with a clear purpose: to clean up the environment and help keep the area safe. Volunteers focused on picking up trash, declogging canals, and trimming tree branches.
The participation of diverse groups, including those from outside the barangay, shows the strong spirit of cooperation that has made the Kalinisan Program a model for others to follow. The consistent effort of residents and leaders proves that working together can create significant and lasting positive change.
